The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed regarding the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area each day. The service issue made for intervention encounters a superior influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it challenging with the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to help the servicing of all consumers and maximize entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
